| The last weekend of the month (out of the operating season) is Work Weekend, when members can get together and work around the site in preparation for next season.
This weekend's work included: Repairing the ceiling in the Footplate Cafe Scrapping wagon 616 Clearing the site of scrap metal Producing new signage Other recent activities have seen the clearance of the Ridham-end sidings , the arrival of Premier's new saddle tank, the preparation for removal of two containers (for restoration) and preparing to start the restoration of the Thanet Tramway waiting shelter which has been sitting on Wagon 633 for several years. |
